Email Web Pages to Others

Have you ever come across a web page that you want to email to your friends? We will teach you the different options by using our web site as an example.

So, let's say you like our website and want to email it to Friends and Family who might find it easier to shop from home or want easy-to-understand advice on surfing the internet. If you can't think of anyone who might like this website, check our list of those who are getting the greatest benefit from using our site.

Email Options

Easiest  Click here to email the ShopWithTrust home page to a friend.   This will open up your email program and prepare a standard greeting and a link to our web site. You can make any changes to the greeting if you wish and then email it to a friend. In the right column of every web page on our site, you will find two links - one is to email our home page and one is to email the current web page. So, if you come across a lesson you think will benefit a friend or a store sale you want to share with a family member, we have provided a way for you to quickly email that page to them.

Some websites provide this feature by providing the image of an envelope next to their articles. Click on this envelope to send an email. Some websites use a web form instead of your own email program to send the message. When this occurs, you just need to enter the person's email address (rather than a nickname you may use with your own email program) and keep an eye out for a question asking if you would like to receive future mailings from that web site. If you don't want extra emails, make sure the box is unchecked.

If this feature does not work for you, it is likely you do not have Javascript enabled. If you do not wish to enable Javascript or if you come across a web site that does not provide an email link, you can use one of the following methods to email the web page.

Copy and Paste Copy the following link: www.ShopWithTrust.com and paste it into a new email message that you can email to your family members and friends. You will always find the web site address in the Address Bar. If you need additional help with this option, click on How to Copy and Paste or How to use Email.

Internet Explorer If you use Microsoft's Internet Explorer web browser (this is the most common one used by internet service providers and computer manufacturers), go to the top menu bar and select 'File' (near the top left of your web browser). In the new drop down menu, select 'Send' and then select 'Link by Email'. If you have an email program on your computer, it will attach the link to a new message, which you can email to your family members and friends.

Firefox If you use Mozilla's Firefox web browser, go to the top menu bar and select 'File' (near the top left of your web browser). In the new drop down menu, select 'Send Link'. If you have an email program on your computer, it will attach the link to a new message, which you can email to your family members and friends.

Safari If you use Apple's Safari web browser, go to the top menu bar and select 'File' (near the top left of your web browser). In the new drop down menu, select 'Mail Link to This Page'. If you have an email program on your computer, it will attach the link to a new message, which you can email to your family members and friends.

That ends this lesson on emailing websites to your friends. When your friends receive a web site from you, they will always appreciate your thoughtfullness. You can always come back to this article by using our 'Quick Access for Beginners' drop-down list in the right column of each page. The drop-down list provides a link to all of the Beginners Lessons.
